Scope of Role
We are looking for field sales stars with a sustained track-record of top production, a nose for identifying and closing business with a hunter's mentality. You will be meeting with business owners and other key decision makers at all types of local business, and have the ability to develop and maintain profitable relationships with new and existing clients.
We want you to be the CEO of your own mini-business as you grow your portfolio within our sales force with our industry-leading technology. Our company leaders are top producers who don't believe in micro-management and have strong track-records of successfully guiding some of the online world’s leading sales teams, however; you should be highly self motivated with previous territory management experience, and the ability to manage your own time and diary. The role is a combination of field sales, new business development and account management.

Compensation Plan
Some of our top IMCs have earned £100,000+ during the first 12-18 months. Our sales professionals are offered a package that consists of a base salary, a car allowance, an expense reimbursement plan and an aggressive residual paid commission plan. IMCs have the opportunity to build and manage their own book of business with ReachLocal. We do not rotate or shuffle accounts and our commissions are uncapped.
Experience Requirements (no exceptions)
- B2B Sales Experience, with a quantifiable field sales track-record of Top 10% performance - Past Print Advertising, Internet Advertising or Directories type sales experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to shine in all facets of a three-part close: setting the appointment (cold calling), making a compelling and concise presentation of the product in person (outside sales) and closing the deal.
- Internet Savvy – We need people that spend a lot of time online and see the revolution in local advertising. This is an Internet Only sale. The more time you spend on the Internet the more this business will make sense.
- Integrity - There's nothing better than people you can trust. This is a tight knit company and a performance-driven sales culture that we need active participants to help shape and enhance.
- The ideal candidate should also have good networking and negotiation skills, with cold calling and self generated appointment making abilities. They will be tenacious, self managed, intrinsically self motivated and driven by results, with strong telephone, time management and organisational sales skills.
